"The
Start of Golf Season"
I have played golf for the past three years
And now it is my final season
Of playing this sport that I love so much
And enjoy for so many reasons
In this sport you compete with other teams
However, you don’t come in contact with anyone
Therefore, you’re just looking to beat yourself
And take fewer strokes than any you’ve done
I was also surprised with new clubs for Christmas
I was so happy I practiced with them right away
My swing was great and I was hitting the ball
straight
A promising season for me was on its way
This was until a couple of weeks in
I began to see a slice in my swing form
If I kept hitting the ball to the right
Then my best game won’t be what I perform
I was able to catch some one on one time
With my coaches at practice one day
They told me my wrists weren’t rolling over
This was making my ball go the wrong way
They taught me a trick to help my wrists roll over
Separate my first finger from the rest
This helped me automatically
Fix my swing and help me play my best
With opening day coming on Tuesday
I can’t wait to start counting up my scores
With my swing fixed and ready to go
Low numbers is what I’m hoping for.

I loved this poem! Even though track is entirely different, I can definitely relate to the importance of this sports season since it's our last one! I really enjoyed your detailed description of the problem you were having with your swing, and I'm glad you fixed it. Good luck on Tuesday and with the rest of your season! :)
