“Scholarship Nightmare”
I travel with the girls’ basketball team
I do the books for the Lady Knights as I watch the
game
Keeping count of all of the shots and fouls
The excitement is enough to make you go insane
But scholarship deadlines were approaching
And there were three games scheduled that week
I didn’t have time to write any essays
The thought of this made my parents freak
They told me no games until I wrote the essays
The books are my responsibility, how can I not go?
I asked coach for some time off to write the essays
This is something I knew I should’ve done a long
time ago
I missed two games and ended up staying in that weekend
To write the dreaded essays and send them in
I finally finished them and was beyond excited
To be back at the games like I should’ve been
I remember you going a little crazy writing those scholarships, glad you got them done. It must have been a relief to finish writing and to be able to go back to the games. Love your photo it's so cute! haha
